For Robert Bosch, success not only meant economic growth of the company but also improvement of living and working conditions for its employees. Today, the Robert Bosch Stiftung in Stuttgart, Germany, a non-profit organization that holds 92 percent of the share capital of the company, carries on the philanthropic and social endeavors initiated by the company's founder. It is part of the company's tradition that the Stiftung utilizes some of the dividends of the operating entity
– Robert Bosch GmbH
– exclusively for socially beneficial purposes.
Bosch in North America continues this heritage by giving back to the communities we serve with active involvement in charitable service activities, and taking pride in our associate volunteerism.
Bosch has a long tradition of purposefully fostering young talent. The Bosch apprentice programs in several of our manufacturing facilities in North America, for example, provide company-sponsored technical training to associates. This allows associates to learn new skills to manufacture high-quality products as well as the opportunity to advance their careers at the company.
